"Volumen III"

Every practice immersed in the artistic universe demands a combination of vocation and skill. The art of collecting is no exception to this premise, as evidenced by the Zapata Collection. "Volume III" emphasizes the continuity of an idea initiated three decades ago by Ledimary and Zeriocha Zapata, an interest that has been passed down to their children, who also participate in preserving and promoting the cultural legacy.

The value of patronage is recognized for stimulating creativity. Important collections have started with similar steps, where an initial impulse has evolved into artistic testimony. Although this collection is not recent, the fact that this is its first year as a gallery has sharpened its focus. Its perspective merges various visions of contemporary Cuban art, embracing an inclusive vision that draws from relevant international currents and themes. In its eagerness, it highlights works that explore both universal conflicts and those specific to the Cuban experience, thus offering a multifaceted panorama of creativity on the island. "Volume III" stands out for its openness to new voices and its commitment to cultural dialogue. We invite you, then, to enjoy this journey through Cuban art.
